Money-saving tips
Free Strip experiences
Bellagio fountains, conservatory, Mirage volcano, Venetian canal walk, LINQ promenade, casino lobbies, and people-watching are all free entertainment.
Downtown over Strip
Fremont Street has $3 beers, $5 blackjack tables, and friendlier dealers. The Strip charges 3–5x more for the same drinks and higher table minimums.
Happy hours save big
Strip bars run happy hours 2–6pm with $6–8 beers and $8–12 cocktails. Nacho Daddy: $5 nachos. Beer Park at Paris: $5 drafts. Off-Strip bars are even cheaper.
Midweek pricing
Hotels are 40–70% cheaper Sunday through Thursday. A $200/night weekend room can be $60 midweek. Buffets and shows also drop prices during the week.
MyVegas rewards
Download the MyVegas app months before your trip — play free slots to earn real rewards like free buffets, show tickets, and hotel room upgrades at MGM properties.
Resort fee awareness
Every Vegas hotel charges a mandatory "resort fee" ($35–55/night) not included in the listed price. Factor this into your budget when comparing hotels.
